“Brazil Meets Ethiopia: An Interactive-Experimental Cultural Exchange”, will be held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in early 2020. Singers, dancers and musicians from the traditions of Samba de Roda and Capoeira in the Recôncavo region of Bahia, Brazil will participate in workshops, exhibitions, musical collaborations, and performances at the University of Addis Ababa and in cultural venues throughout the city. “Brazil Meets Ethiopia” will be the first opportunity for musicians from Ethiopia and Brazil to explore each other’s musical traditions, collaborate and create new music together.
